Pacific Rim Conservation is offering a $10,000 reward to whomever has information leading to the arrest of the individuals responsible for killing 3, and possibly 15 adult albatrosses and smashing 15 eggs at Kaena Point earlier this week. This happened sometime between Sunday night and early Monday morning. They not only killed the adults, but cut off their legs to remove their bands. They stole the game cameras and the sound system that has been used to attract black- footed albatrosses to the area. Pictured at this link is one of the bodies laying next to its egg. Pacific Rim Conservation has worked for 13 years to monitor and protect this colony and they are heartbroken. If you have information email it to kaenaalbatross@gmail.com or call DOCARE at 808.587.0077.
